About Biblr

Biblr is a Bible app built around one idea: Scripture, study tools, and stillness belong in the same place — without ads, clutter, or a dozen tabs open just to understand a verse.

Why we built it

Most Bible apps make you choose: a simple reader with no depth, or a study platform so busy it gets in the way of actually reading. Biblr keeps the reading experience calm and distraction-free, but puts real study tools — cross-references, Strong’s numbers, chapter summaries, a built-in dictionary — one tap away instead of behind a paywall or a separate app.

It’s designed for daily use: open a reading plan, pick up where you left off, look something up when a verse raises a question, mark it, and keep going.

What’s inside

  • 35+ translations — including ESV, NIV, NASB, CSB, NLT, KJV, NKJV, and translations in over 20 other languages, with a side-by-side parallel reading mode.
  • Study tools built into the reader — tap any word for its Strong’s Concordance entry, follow cross-references, and read a chapter summary before or after you study.
  • Highlights, notes, and collections — mark up whole verses or individual words in color, attach personal notes, and organize favorites into named collections.
  • Guided reading plans — six plans, including Whole Bible, Gospels, and Psalms & Proverbs, with streak tracking and a daily reminder.
  • A prayer journal — log prayers by category, mark them answered, and look back on how God has provided.
  • Verse memorization — build a memory-verse deck with spaced-repetition flashcards that adapt to what you already know.
  • Narrated audio — listen with verse-by-verse highlighting, with text-to-speech available for any passage.
  • Full-text search — search the whole Bible instantly, with recent searches saved for quick access.
  • Works offline, and it’s yours — chapters you’ve read are cached on your device, and you can export or back up your notes, highlights, and progress any time.
  • Home-screen widgets — a daily Verse of the Day and a Favorites widget link straight back into the app.
  • Cross-device sync — sign in with Google and your notes, highlights, bookmarks, and reading progress sync automatically across every device.
